FCCB Home Decor #183

Good morning fellow crafters!!  I hope you've had a great weekend!!  I spent mine at SimpLee Memories Hobby Retreat House with Ginger from My Sister's Scrapper!!!  It was amazing!!  She taught an amazing Christmas mini album there!!  Make sure you check out the retreat house...it was heaven out there!!

So today's challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge was to create a Home Décor project.  So this is what I came up with!!  I used the Tags Bags Boxes & More, and Mother's Day Bouquet cartridges.  Wrapped some spooky spider web around the bottles, added some spiders, and of course glitter and VOILA!!  A fun spooky Halloween Bottle!!

Halloween Frame Card

Well...Halloween is just around the corner!!  The kids are getting all pumped up to dress up a(me included) and go trick or treating, the haunted house and all the other fun things!!!  Still haven't decided on costumes but I swear, we always wait until the last possible minute and get creative!!

So, for todays card I created for two challenges:

My Craft Spot - #115 3D Halloween
Paper Playtime - #21 Ribbons & Buttons

I found this super cute tutorial on how to make the frame part of the card and knew that would be the perfect base!!  I love it and admit I've already made several different designs!!  Thinking this might be my Christmas card base as well...we shall see!!  Okay, getting side tracked!!  You can find the tutorial (((HERE))) by Dawn's Stamping Thoughts!!  LOVE her tutorials!!  I swear I watched every single on the other day!!  haha

And of course my favorite thing about this card (besides the shadow box) is the spooky spiders web I draped around it!!  Hope you enjoy!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Breast Cancer Awareness!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!!  Make sure you do your self exams and make your appointment for a mammogram!!  I've had a couple friends who I'm happy to say are breast cancer survivors...unfortunately not everyone is so lucky.  So please make sure you have your exams done!!

This card was created for the challenge over at CardzTV...#37 Breast Cancer Awareness.  If you haven't checked out Mary's blog you need to head on over!!  She is absolutely amazing and the stamps (CHECK THEM HERE) she designs are as well!!  You will find a ton of inspiration on her blog, I always do!  !

I created the boot using the witches boot image on the Happy Hauntings Cartridge (you can see my Halloween card here).  I just snipped the curly toe part off so make a Victorian boot.  Same with my Halloween card, I ran the pink and white cardstock in my Cuttlebug to give it some dimension.  A little faux stitching around the ovals edges and voila! a great card to send to a girlfriend!!

Silhouette Halloween Card

So today's card I created for the challenge over at An Inky Situation - Linky Party #12 Dress Up!
The only Cricut cartridge I had that was "dress-up" was Paper Dolls and after cutting a couple images out I just wasn't feeling it.  So I started looking through each and every cartridge I had until something sparked my fancy!!  The witches hat on the Happy Hauntings cartridge did just that!!  Then I remembered Forever Young has some super cute silhouette cuts of a girl....PERFECT!!!

So this is what I came up with.  The base of my card is actually a polka dot transparency.  I used a range of different paper lines including: My Mind's Eye, K&Co., BoBunny, and Paper Studio.  The ribbons and metal charm I found in my stash.  And the stamps I used are from Pink Paislee.  As you can tell, I have each layer raised up on foam tape!!  I absolutely LOVE dimension!!

Witches Boot Halloween Card

Hello everyone!!  I've got a super fun card to share with you today!!  I finally got my Cricut hooked up to The Cricut Craftroom!!  Seriously...why didn't I do this forever ago?  I don't have a gypsy so this was super exciting for me!!  So I have been playing around with it all last night, throughout the morning and afternoon!!

So, this card I used the adorable witches boot from the Happy Hauntings cartridge!!
I ran the purple and black cardstock through my Cuttlebug to give it some more dimension.  I absolutely love how it turned out!!  The stamped images are from Pink Paislee.  I created this card for the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Happy Haunting! #235
and
Simon Says Stamp - Use a rubber or clear stamp

We have a fabulous sponsor,  Cricket Vinyl Supplies. If we get 100 participants in this challenge, Cricket Vinyl Supplies will give away a Cricut Expression package that includes a Cricut Expression machine, deep cut blade, Jasmine Cricut cartridge, ten 12” x 12” assorted sheets of matte vinyl and one 12” x 12” gridded transfer tape. How exciting is that?!!  Make sure you head on over to their store to check out all the amazing products!!! AND for all you special crafters we get a discount.... use the coupon code: fantabulous for a 15% discount
If you've come from JoNeita's blog , you're in the right place!  If you've just happened across my blog and would like to see all the fabulous Design Team creations head on over to Fantabulous Cricut HERE to start at the beginning.
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog!  There will be Blog Candy along the way at ALL our DT members' blogs, and there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant who submits a project using vinyl at FCCB!
For my project I decided to make a spooky Halloween sign.  I started out with a blank piece of unfinished wood.  I painted it a metallic silver and then a black on top.  I sanded the entire board quite heavily to give it the effect in the photo.  I wanted an extra spooky look so I took a paint brush and some red paint and "splashed" that all over the front.  Halloween cheesecloth, raffia, and some skeleton hands decorate the side of the sign.  And lastly, I cut out the word "BEWARE" using black vinyl and the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge.  This vinyl was so easy to use.  It was nice and thick and didn't get all tangled up like many other brands I've used!! I really hope you try some out!!
And of course....what is a Blog Hop without a little "blog candy"?!  So...I am giving away a yard of each of my favorite ribbons to one lucky winner!! All you have to do is tell you your favorite fall scent!! And then make sure you check back next Monday to see if you won!!

Your next stop is LB's blog.  Make sure to visit all the stops along the way and when you get done, make sure you link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post!!
Happy Crawling!!

Simon Says..........

Hi all!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!! Today I decided to put the housework aside while my little man was taking his nap to do some crafting!! And boy am I happy I did!! I really needed some "ME" time!!

So for today's project I decided to do something a little different than a card (scary thought, I know), so I created a door hanger. I have had this thing in my stash for....well, I really don't want to admit it so we will just leave it at that!! Haha. I joined in with this weeks challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog....to Pin It!!! I really loved this weeks challenge and just couldn't wait to create!!
So this is what I came up with!! All my flowers are handmade by yours truly!! I think I've found a new obsession!! ;) Anyways, I have fun little trinkets all over the place!! A domino, gear, compass, bingo piece!! So fun!! I used some Maya Road leaf stick pins and a Michaels chalkboard clothes pin as my "pin it's"!!

Summer 2013 "Smash book" journal

Happy Friday!!

Today I have a fun "smash book" style journal I wanted to share with you!! My Aunt Ginger over at My Sister's Scrapper created this a couple days ago (you can find it HERE) and I jusr had to make myself one!!  We document our summer adventures every year and I thought this little journal would be perfect!! Something this kids can grab and jot down their thoughts too.

I used the amazing Echo Park "Happy Camper" paper line to create my journal!! I had to have this paper when I saw it for the first time!! We are a BIGTIME outdoors family so this line was perfect!!!

Yes, that is indeed a real jean pocket!! I cut it out from an old pair...thought it would the perfect pocket to hold all our pens and pencils so we always had one handy!!

"Welcome"

Good Afternoon!!!
WOWie....having a blast over here at the Hobby Hideaway for a scrapbooking retreat!!

Okay, so the challenge over at CardzTV this week is to make a project with something that you'd put in a jar.  Unfortunately I didn't have the fabulous new stamp Mary created so I cut out a jar using the Everyday Cards Cartridge and filled it with flowers!! It's a little hard to see in the photo but my leaves are actually glued to a real twig...to give it that "extra touch"!! I did use the new "Oh Baby" stamp set Mary created!!
