Hi everyone!! I know it’s been a couple weeks since I posted last! Been super busy…but now that schools out for the summer I have some extra time to “create”!!
Here’s an album I created using the absolutely FABULOUS “Curtain Call” papers from Graphic 45!! I must admit…I’ve had this paper since it came out and have been hoarding it!! It’s so beautiful!! The papers have so much detail on them so I used that for my advantage! There isn’t a lot of embellishments on this album…it’s mostly the papers and ribbon/fibers!!
I used the smaller Celebrate It bags from Michaels and kept them upright! Each bag has inserts for additional photos.

Vintage Shadow Box

Hello all you beautiful bloggers!!!
I wanted to share with you this shadow box I created! I’ve had this box in my stash for…okay I hate to admit it…a couple years!! Sad I know! The box actually held a wood bird feeder kit.
Anyways, I painted the box white and after it was completely dry and I took a sanding block and sanded all the edges! I then used a felt piece with my distress ink (vintage photo) and lightly inked some spots all over the box. This gave it a vintage antique feel.
I really enjoyed making this and love how it turned out!! My wonderful husband actually got involved also! Majority of the pieces in the box are real antiques that were found at our local antique shops! It’s one of our favorite things to do together!
Okay…I will give you a run down of exactly what is inside the box. We will start with the top. There is a vintage flash card in the corner with a “shoe” on the front, some old wooden spools, and a rusty old pair of sewing scissors (this is my favorite piece!), The frame is actually something I picked up at Michael’s and then just used my alcohol inks (Copper & Pearl) on it. The photo in the frame came from Melissa Frances packaging! Isn’t she just too cute! The flower is handmade using a vintage sheet of music! And then the envelope is another piece I found at the antique shop…it’s dated from 1952 so I had to add it to the box! Love it!! Oh, and before I forget…the background is again some vinage sheet music!!

The birdhouse is just one of those $1 finds you can pick up at JoAnns. I added some moss, flowers, bling, buttons, and some stems of gold and pearl berries. The butterfly was found in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby but I’m sure you can find something very similar at your local craft store! Lots of sanding and distress ink was added to the birdhouse also to give it the same vintage feel.

Okay, so down at the bottom left hand side! I used a piece of Webster’s Pages for the background…just love that dress form!! A beautiful gerber daisy sits on the bottom with a silver lid I used as a mini shadow that holds some old 1 cent stamps and a key. The large door plate is actually an extra one that came from my house (which is 102 years old)…so I had to use it!! The white paint on it was already there. I added the small doorknob.

Last section! The background has a new bingo “Journey” card (not sure what brand or collection it came from sorry) and then a real vintage Bingo card (the blue one). I have some older clothes pins clustered on one of the sides with a small frame leaning against them. This frame came from my wonderful Aunt Ginger (Thank You!!) and I just used my copper color alcohol ink. An old “dimes” money roll is also in the back and then my vintage dice! Like I said in the beginning of my post…my husband found majority of the antique pieces for this project so a HUGE “Thank You” to him also!!

Cupcake Cutie

Good morning to you all! I really hope you all are having a wonderful day so far!

I wanted to share with you some projects I created and posted under a different blog I was trying to start up...long story short, it didn't work out! Starting up a new blog is very time consuming!! So...I will be slowing posting those projects on this one to share with you all (sorry to those who've already seen them)!!

Here is a couple cards I created for some wonderful ladies who helped me in a time of need!
I used to super cute "Simply Charmed" Cricut cartridge for both the cupcake and pie...aren't they just too cute!!

So here's the Cupcake card. I made a pocket on the inside to house three tags and a super cute hand mixer from Cosmo Cricket.

And then this card is an easel card...they are so much fun to make and unbelievably easy!! So thank you Auntie Ginger for showing me how to make this!!

This album was so fun to make! There is so much detail in this little mini!! Tons of tags and photomats!! And for those of you who know me...I just can't scrap flat! So as you can see...there is LOTS of dimension to each page!!

So I wanted to share this album I created the other day for my Etsy store!! I absolutely loved how it turned out!! So much so I almost kept it for myself! lol

There are so many foldouts and tags in this mini album!! LOTS of room for photos and journaling!! And this paper line by Basic Grey is absolutely fabulous!! I was in a major scrappy rut last week and this paper collection totally got me through it!!

My Pink Stamper Challenges #6 thru #12 "I FINISHED"

HOly Moly!!! I got them all finished!! All the 12 challenges over at My Pink Stamper!! Can you believe that!! It was so much fun!! I ended up leaving the layout last...it's been FOREVER since I've scrapped a layout!! Funny thing...I ended up dreaming up my layout last night!! lol My Auntie Ginger, Mom and I had so much fun scrapping this weekend (and we are still going)...we literally "Cropped til we dropped"!!! Passed out at 1am just to wake up and get back to where we left off!! So much fun!

Okay...so here's the run down of the challenges I finished up last night! Oh, and I apologize for the "not so great" photos...I'm scrapping at my Mom's and didn't bring my laptop to edit them! Awww!!

#6 Incorporate a tag into your project! So I decided to make a super grunged up tag to put on the front of a card!! LOVE how it turned out!! Lots of distress ink and glimmer mist on this one!! Even crackled inside the Tim Holtz book plate!!

#7 Make a Scrapbook Layout!! I LOVE how this turned out!! I actually made it to hang in my scrappy room! This line of paper from K&Co is plastered all over my walls in my room! I absolutely love all the bright vintage colors!! Just need to add my photo from this weekend!!

#8 Make a summer theme project! Again...another card! It's pretty simple...I actually struggled with this one! Not exactly sure why!

#9 Use Glitz, Glam and Glitter!! Talk about easy for me, I LOVE to glam it up!! This card is super 3D with tons of fabulous girly chipboard pieces!! There's a cocktail drink, purse, shoe, NY landscape, feathers, glitter....and lots of GLAM!!! lol

#10 Make a project with a pet on it! Had to go girly on this one!! Made it for my adorable little niece's birthday next month!! The kitty is sitting on a diamond plate embossed pillow! I also wrapped a circle with twine for a little ball of yarn!

#11 Use Pink, Green and Black!! One of my favorite color combos!! OMG...and look!! I made something other than a card! I'm sure this bookmark with never see the inside of a book but it was so much to make!!

#12 Make a kid's theme project!! Okay...I'm totally in love with making these pinwheels! Got a little carried away with them on this card! But no worries...it's for a little birthday boy who's party we are going to this next weekend!!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #58

And the night continues on!! WHOO HOO!!!!
What a total mess we are making...and that's not including every kitchen counter space that's COVERED!! But my goodness we are accomplishing LOTS!!

Okay...so I've been stalking this AMAZING blog for a couple weeks now!! Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!!! My amazing Auntie Ginger introduced me to it and I'm was super excited to finally get to play along with this weeks challenge!! The challenge was to include 3 flowers on your project!! Easy peasy for me!! Here's what I came up with! The card base was cut out using the Wild Card cartridge and the adorable little bees are from Kate's ABC's!! Love it!!

Oh!! And look who decided to sneak into the picture!!! =)

My Pink Stamper Challenges #4 and #5

I'm on a roll ladies!!!

Here's my card (yes...I know!! I'm a HUGE card lover) for challenge four which was to create a project with a Mother's Day theme!! So here's what I came up with!! I used the fabulous Tim Holtz fence die and GlimmerMist it along with some alcohol and distress ink!! The sentiment says "May your day be as....Bright as a Flower".

And last is my 3D project for challenge five! I ended up making a stair step card (love to make these)!! It was a blast!! Here's the scoring dimension for those of you who've never made one of these! I used a piece of 4" x 10.5" cardstock. Score at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6 & 8.25

NSD with "My Pink Stamper"!! Challenges #1, #2 and #3

Hello Ladies!!!
OMG...it's been FOREVER since I've posted projects to my blog!! But what better time to do so than on "National Scrapbooking Day"!! I'm having so much fun!! My fabulous Auntie Ginger drove over for the weekend to CROP!!! We are having such a blast!!!

Anyways...I've been busy creating some fabulous projects for the challenges over at My Pink Stamper!! So far I've completed the first three projects!! Here they are!!

The first challenge was to create something with a cupcake!! Couldn't resist an adorable cupcake card!! Lots of embossing was done with my handy dandy Cuttlebug!! Loved how it turned out!!

The second challenge was to create a project using Kraft cardstock! For those of you who know me...cards are one of my faves!! So here's what I came up with! I cut this gorgeous birdcage out using the Serenage Cricut cartridge!! Added some foam tape and an adorable little hummingbird inbetween!! The birdcage was cut out using Kraft cardstock but I also GlimmerMist it and added some alcohol inks to give it a vintage look!! Let me know what you think!!

And last but not least was Challenge three...to create a project with a breast cancer theme! Again I had to make another card! I have several friends who have either fought or are currently fighting this battle! So I had to make this card SUPER girly (isn't that a shock...lol)!! Embossed the background with the Tim Holtz folder and then used a Martha Stewart punch on the edge!!

Seriously...where has time gone?? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your familys and a wonderful New Year!! It sure was busy in my house!!

After taking a mild break,
Cuttlebug Challenge is back with some fabulous challenges!! This week's challenge is in honor of the new Asian line that is being released!! You are to create a project with a "white" theme and Asian (if you have anything)....as you can see, I didn't!! So I took this opportunity to create a wedding card!!

I used the famous and much loved "Swiss Dots" embossing folder!! The wedding cake was cut out by the Cricut using the Cuttin Up cartridge.

We are doing the 12 days of Christmas over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!! I hope you join us for all the fun!! There will be TONS of inspirations too!!! Head on over!!

So, today I'd like to share with you an altered record! I thought it would be a fun "vintage" wreath! I picked up the record at my local antique shop for a quarter a piece!

This was super easy to make...and seriously took less than half and hour!!
First I cut a couple "extra" small branches off the back of my Christmas tree and hot glued them to the side of the record. The added some holly berries and some white flowers. I tied a HUGE bow and glued that under the holly berries and then added my "Calling Bird"! Tada!!

Cuttlebug Challenge "Festival of Lights" ROSE Tutorial

I hope you are all ready to learn how to make these fabulous flowers!!
Like I said before, they are super easy and really fast!!
You will need:
*Cardstock
*Pencil
*Scissors
*Cuttlebug and folder of your choice
*Zots/Gluedots

Yep, that's it!!
So, let's get started!!

1. Draw a spiral circle on your cardstock. I've used a sharpie so you all can see what I've drawn...please use a pencil so you can erase the lines. I have also marked a X where the Zot/GlueDot is to go for later.

2. Cut out the spiral and erase your pencil lines.

3. Run your spiral through the Cuttlebug. I've used Coredination Cardstock...so I've sanded my paper to give it a fun look.

4. Start rolling the outer part of your spiral all the way towards the middle like shown in the photo below.

5. Release the rose when you are all the way to the end to loosen it up a bit. This will give it a more relaxed look. Then Zot/Glue Dot it down to the bottom where I have marked with an X.

TADA!!!
Told you it was super easy!!
You can create different size roses by making the spiral circle larger or smaller.

Okay, so for my project I decided to alter a candle holder I found at my local thrift store! A little bit of paper and twine and it's ready to sit on my table for Christmas...or any other occasion!

First of all, I'm so sorry for posting this late...it's been a really rough week!!
Yesterday was spent at the ER due to a back injury my husband flaired up from earlier this week! I am completely exhausted and scrapbooking had to be put on the back burner for the time being! Hopefully next week we can get back to normal..."hopefully"!!

A New Look....

No, I'm not talking about my blog!! lol
Over the past couple days I've been working hard on a "new look" for my photos!! I'm NOT a photographer, so taking photos of my projects have not been easy!! The lighting has never been right, the backgrounds have been horrible...I just flat out don't have the slightest clue on what to do!! But after doing some research and the help of my scrappy friends I'm hoping that will all change!! I've been busy trying out new things with my camera throughout the house!! Where is the best lighting at certain times of day, what is the best color background, and most of all...a little "staging"!! I played around with this particular card for quite awhile, but in the end was very happy with the results!! Hopefully my upcoming cards will also look nice!! lol

Butterfly Flurries...

What an interesting weekend!! Whew...so glad it's over and we are all back to normal!! I hope each and every one of you are having a wonderful day!!

I had just a couple minutes to myself earlier today...doesn't happen much with the kids out of school so I thought I would take this opportunity to get my card done for the challenge at ICSketches!! My fabulous and dear friend Tricia made up the sketch for this week, so of course I couldn't pass it up!!

So, here's my card...you can't really see the embossing all that well. :( The wind was NOT cooperating with my and made it really hard to get a good shot!! But I used the wonderful Swiss Dots embossing folder for the Cuttlebug! And I've been having so much fun with these little "bugs"...made by The Paper Company!! They are on springs which gives them that extra dimension!

Hi everyone!!
Happy Wednesday!! I hope you all are having a wonderful week!!
Not sure if you have been over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog this morning...there is a new challenge posted!! If you leave a comment on the post you will get a chance to download an image so you can play along with us!! These stamps were really fun to play with...I've never done a digi stamp before!!

Here's the tag I created...I love to hide little "things" for my husband to find just to say a little words of encouragement and let him know that I'm thinking about him!! Hopefully I will be able to sneak it in his truck early tomorrow morning!!
I used the fabulous Coredinations cardstock and also used my Scor-it to create the lines above the Swiss dot embossing folder!

Okay, I must say...Cosmo Cricket had been "rockin" all these fabulous lines they are releasing!! I just LOVE this one...especially that adorable little toaster!! Reminds me of watching that super cute movie "The Brave Little Toaster"!!
Anyways, I made this card using the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You!! Not sure if you can see it that well in the photo, but I embossed my brown cardstock with one of the new embossing folders that was just released....
Herringbone. Not sure if you've seen all the fabulous folders that are being released...but they are FABULOUS!!!

And then here is the card I made for the challenge on the Paper Popsicles Blog!! The challenge was to make a card inside and out with a sentiment! With all the holidays that are approaching...fast, I figured I better get a head start!!

Well, as you can see I changed things around a bit!!
For those of you who frequent my blog know that I get bored very easily and am constantly changing my blog "look" every couple months! So here's it is...I'm totally loving the black and white!! My poor hubby has to deal with this at home too!! I change things alot...epecially decorating!! My kitchen has had a new look every year we've been at our house!! lol

Today at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog we are featuring the GORGEOUS "Victoria" embossing folder!! I must say...this is one of my faves (but then again, I'm loving all the new folders)!
So, this weeks challenge was to make something altered!!
I've been saving this Prima jar for quite sometime now...and I'm glad I did, because it was perfect for this challenge! It's a little hard to see but my white paper is embossed with the Victoria folder!! The container is filled with a soft pair of pink socks, lotion and some delicious body spray!! A perfect gift to encourage someone to relax!!

Here's my project I'd like to share with you!!
I chose to keep my card and bag blank so I can use it for any fun summer occassion!!

The card was so much fun to make...yes that is real sand (shhhh...I took a little bit from my boys' sandbox)!! To make the card you need a 10.5" X 5.5" piece of cardstock. Then score at 1.25", 2.5", 4.25", 6", and 8.25" and fold accordian style. Decorate!! Now how easy is that!!

Summer Weather Is Finally To STAY!!!

So, are you all ready for summer break?? It's been an "interesting" last couple days here!! I must admit, I'm not used to having an extra child here during school hours!! So running errands takes a little bit longer...and fights seem to explode throughout the entire day!! But we will make it through!!

The card I'm going to share with you today is actually a 2 in 1! I used the challenge over at Caardvarks, which was to make a card with a window!! I absolutely loved the challenge!! I used a transparency to create my "window"!! I also used the fabulous sketch over at ICSketches!! Funny thing is...her sketch was meant for a window too!! So it was meant to be!! lol

A Few Card Challenges

Wow, what a week it has been!!
First of all, I must say last weekend was amazing!! For those of you who didn't know...I taught a mini album class over in Marysville, WA last weekend. We had a fun group of ladies and I must say...I had a BLAST!!
After the class my Auntie took my Mom and I to a couple scrapbooking stores around the area!! It was...WOW!!!! By the time we got to the last store I was completely overloaded with scrapbooking goodness!! The inspiration from all the things I saw was so overwhelming (in a good way of course!!)...WOW!! I bought so many FABULOUS things!! Lots of new paper (and yes Ginger...I still don't remember buying those two pieces lol), a couple mini albums, and a plethora of embellies!!! I seriously can't wait to go shopping over there again!!!

So...I've just "now" been able to sit down and create something!! This past week and weekend has been really busy!!

The first card I made is for my Dad! I used the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You! I know this paper isn't new, but I absolutely LOVE it and couldn't pass up buying more!!

And this card I used the sketch over at ICSketches!! It's for my sister-in-law...her birthday is in a couple days!! Hopefully she's not peeking right now (*wink wink*)!!

So, this weeks challenge over at Cuttlebug Challenges was to created something with a monogram. I must say, I haven't done one of these in a "really" long time!!
You can't really see that background all that great...I did use the amazing Swiss Dots embossing folder!! Absolutely LOVE it!!
The trim, not really sure what you want to call it, was actually from a Christmas bag I recieved. Thought it would be fun to put on a card...I'm sure you can find soemthing similar at your local craft store!!

Bow Tutorial

Okay, so I've been asked by several of you how I tie my bows!! So here's how I do it...super super easy!!
Let's begin:

1. Start your first tie

2. Make two bunny ears

3. Criss-Cross them and tie (see, super easy)

4. This is what the bow looks like after it's tied...not very pretty!!

5. Now it's time to fix it all up...a little twisting here, maybe some there...don't forget to puff up the loops and voila!! A perfect bow!

Tips:
**I like to trim my end pieces pointed inward.
**If you can't get the bow to face the right direction, try tying it upside down!
**Try using wired ribbon!!

So, this weekend was the LSS Garage Sale, and of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity!! I found some fabulous deals...one of them was a G Studio stamp set that had this adorable little bee in it!! I've made a couple cards already with this cutie!! One of them I used todays sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You!! I turned it around a little bit, but LOVE how it turned out!! It's a gatefold card!! The scallops is the opening (it opens up) and the script part folds down...hope that makes sense!! lol Guess I could have taken a picture of that!!
Anyways let me say, I'm absolutely LOVING my Cuttlebug...why didn't I get this fabulous little machine a long time ago??

OMG...I'm so darn excited!!
My fabulous husband decided to buy me an amazing gift yesterday!! Can you hear my excitement?? He bought me a CuttleBug!! EEek...I've been wanting one of these for quite sometime now!! And I must agree...it's an amazing tool that every cardmaker should have!!

The Hole Punch 3000

So, I thought I would share some of my projects that I made for the contest over at
ScrapStreet! For this particular challenge we had to show a fun way to use a hole punch...the hole punch 3000 (lol...don't worry, you aren't missing out on anything...it doesn't exist)!

I knew exactly what I was going to do...a shaker box!!
And earlier that week I picked up some more fabulous papers from DCWV Woodland line!! Absolutely LOVE that line...it made from recycled paper!! Can't get better than that!!

So...these past couple weeks I've really begun to notice that I'm totally growing out of my craft room!! I've tried to get my hubby to let me "take over" the dining room...but it was a no-go!!! Bummer!! So I've been really trying to figure out how I can store all my things, but in a really fun way!! And look at what I found after browsing some rockin' blogs!!

They are milk crates...aka filing box, toy box, the uses are endless!! Well take a look at this fabulous tutorial that I found to dress them up,here!! The best thing about them...they are stackable!!!

So, this is what I did with mine!! Of course I HAD to have the bright funky colors!!! I absolutely LOVE them!! I will totally be making more as I get my craft room arranged the way I want it!!

And then I made this too....to store my ribbon!! No, that's not all my ribbon...lol it's what I bought the other day!! They were having a fabulous sale and I went a little overboard (I've already used 1/2 hehe)!!

I will take more pictures once I get my craft room all pretty!! Right now it looks like a tornado got locked inside!!! EEk!!

I am beyond excited today!! It has been a very AMAZING day!!
I have been busy competing in the ScrapStreet Star contest for the past couple weeks now!! The challenges were amazing and very inspiring!! Well, I'm excited to say that I was announced the "ScrapStreet Star"!!!! I was completely speechless when I saw the thread!!!

Wow...has it really been 2 weeks since I updated last??
With my son starting soccer...my husband (me) hosting a bi-monthly poker night, a weekly parenting class (Growing Kids God's Way...absolutely AMAZING and highly recommended!!!!)...the weeks have seem to be flying by!!
Can you believe April will be over in just a couple days?? Crazy!!

So...with the start of May, that means Mother's Day will be drawing near!!

So these past couple days I've been really thinking....
"Do you show off your work around your house?"

I it hanging on the wall or out on display?? I'm really horrible about this!! My albums are all tucked away and I'm sure no one but me (and maybe not even me) knows where they are!! I rarely make little "wall hangings" of my children!! Well...that is going to change!! I really admire my work and want to start having pieces around my house!!

This wall hanging I made for the April "How To" class at Paper Popsicles!! I totally LOVE how it turned out!! These past couple weeks I've been "slowly" re-decorating my kitchen!! After the gloomy winter this year I needed to spice things up with bright colors!! So this will be proudly displayed on my wall!!!

First of all I'd like to apologize for "falling off the face of the earth"!! It litterly happened!! My laptop took a dumper a couple weeks ago and just now got it running again!! It still is having a little issues, but hopefully we can get those fixed really soon!!

till my husband comes home and realizes that I've been "crafting" instead of cleaning and doing the laundry!!
Hey, I can't help it!! When I get inspired I try to write down my thoughts, but my scrapping supplies was already out, so why not just make it instead!! lol
4 hours, 14 minutes and some seconds should be plenty of time to get the house tidied up, right?? Maybe I should put away my supplies first before I get into more trouble!!

Anyways, this is one of the things I created while "inspired"!!
The ribbon was my inspiration for this one....so that's where I started!!

I made this yesterday...it was a rather boring day!! Yucky rainy and nothing to do!! The boys were napping and hubby was watching a rather gruesome movie so I decided to treat myself with a trip to the craft store!! Okay....I admit it, that was a lie!! hehe My hubby was getting annoyed by me "moping" around the tv and told me to go...he even handed me some money!! Hey, sometimes good things come from moping...lol
I've been wanting to make myself one of these aprons for sometime now, but just never found the "perfect" fabric. That was until yesterday!! I LOVE the bright colors....and of course the gigantic flower!!

And yes Ginger...I will be wearing this when I teach the class!!! ;)

This week at Card-a-licious the challenge is to use a circle, star and some sort of stitching!!

For some reason I always seem to have a hard time working with stars...and I have no clue why!! So after re-sizing my star a thousand times (okay...maybe it was just a couple times) I finally decided to put a little one on the card!! I absolutely LOVE this new monster paper by Daisy Bucket....it's so darn cute!! And me, a mother of two boys, I HAD to have it!!

Anyways, back to my card!! Here is what I came up with for this weeks challenge!!

Scrappin' with the boys...

So this weeks challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You also involved your kiddos!! They have the opportunity to make a card also!!

So this afternoon, after school...we got out all of my scrappy supplies out and all three of us got to work!! I have no clue why they didn't want to put a "sentiment" on their cards...but this is what they came up with!! I did not help them out with anything except for the bow...that was it!! They even went along with the sketch!! I am really proud of them both...they did a fabulous job!!

So, like I said in my last post...I've had these coasters for awhile now!! I was going to make a mini album with them but realized that they were not polka-dots on the underside!! So...after making a tag, I was instantly inspired to make a card also!! I really loved the way the colors turned out!!

of Inspirational Card Sketches??

It's another FABULOUS card challenge blog started by the wonderful and very talented Dawn!!

Here is what I came up with!!
I know it was supposed to be a card, but this tag sketch was so amazing I just had to make a tag with it!!

The base of my card is a coaster!! Yep, you heard it right...a chipboard coaster!!

Sewing Pins...

Okay, I have to admit....I had to go to the craft store the other day because I was almost out of sewing pins!! And what did I do the second I opened the new package?? Yep...used them on another card!!! lol I can't help it!! They are a blast!!

So...this week at Card-a-licious the challenge was to make a card using a heart, a button, ribbon and something PINK!! Hey, I can NEVER turn down a challenge to make pink!! So this is what I came up with!!

I really love how this card turned out!!
There are lots of "scraps" on this card....
the corrugated paper was from an unused box,
the green ribbon was a tiny little 4 inch scrap
that I kept...why? I'm not really sure, but it
worked!!
And of course the stick I found in my scrappy room
from a project I did WAY back in October...what can
I say?? I'm a collecter!!
Oh, and my favorite....the little black ruler sticker
is actually not "really" a sticker!! It was on the
edge of my letter sticker packaging.....so I cut it
out and used it!!

**I've had a couple questions about how I get my
corrugated paper so perfect....."actually" if you look
at it really closely, it's NOT perfect!! When you peel
off the top layer of a box one side will come off a little
easier then the other....so you might just have to test
it out!! If it's being really really stubborn I will use
my Cricut spatula to help peel it off!! But I personally
like to leave little "scragglys"....it looks really fun
after painted or inked!! I'll be posting a mini-album that
I created using a "Top Ramen" box as the base....so be on
the look out!!

A Couple Challenges

I have been really busy creating today!!
Lots of fun things to share thoughout the rest of the week...so keep an eye out!!

The first one is using the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! I think I've found my newest "favorite"....buttons and pins!! I'm sure I'll regret using my sewing pins, but my mojo was flowin' and I wasn't about to "interupt" it!! lol
I bought my son a new booster seat yesterday so I thought I would make good use out of the left-over box!! I really love working with corrugated paper...so many possibilities and it's "green"!!
Anyways, here's what I came up with using the sketch!!

And for this second card...I made for a challenge on Melissa's blog!!

WOw...this weeks challenge was really really hard!! I normally don't scrap red, unless it happens to be somewhere on the paper!! So when I started looking for something red.....I couldn't find ANYTHING except those buttons and a flower (which could honestly pass for a dark pink...shhhhh)!!

The challenge was to use red, black, bling and sticker letters, so here is what I came up with!! I'm totally loving the lace ribbon...I'll have to pick up more of that!!

What is up with this "interesting" weather??
Earlier this week it was beautiful and very sunny, it looked like Spring was on it's way.......then what do I wake up to this morning?? Snow!! Yep, it's snowing!! Will it ever end??

It's Thursday!! And that means another sketch from Sketches {by tamara}!! I really loved this weeks sketch...it gave me a really great opportunity to use this paper I cut out with my cricut!! I LOVE the new Graphically Speaking cartridge!! So many fun things on there!!!

It's Thursday!!! One more day till Friday, and then the weekend!! I could really use a break! It's been a rough week with my little guy!! ((sigh))

Valentine's Day Card & a GIVEAWAY!!!!

Well, Valentine's Day is approaching...fast!!
It's on a Saturday this year, so make sure you book those restaurants and baby-sitters!!! I've been really busy with orders for some cards, so I thought I would share a couple with you!!

I used the new Valentine line by K&Co. called Sweet Talk!! I really loved this paper pack!! It's double sided and let me tell you...both sides are FABULOUS!!! Some of the papers are flocked and embossed...yummm!!

I really like this first card...it's one of my favorites! But the picture doesn't do it justice!! It's really hard to see the butterfly and the paperclip...but they are there!! You can see it a little bit better in the second picture!! As for the corrugated paper....it's a priorty box that I tore apart and brushed white paint over!! It was fun, easy, and a great way to recycle!!

This card is a 4x4 size...but it's full of bling!!
I love these clear butterflies from Heidi Swapp!! They are so beautiful!!

And I just realized I TOTALLY forgot to share my card for Sketches {by tamara}!! I really loved this sketch because it gave me an opportunity to use one of my new Cricut carts!! Storybook!!

A Fresh Start

So for the last couple days I have been busy cleaning out my scrappy room!!
And I was really surprised about all the things I found!! Lots of goodies I didn't know I had!! I'll get to some of my "findings" in a few minutes!!
Anyways, I was really inspired by my dear friend Lynda...she cleaned up her room and shared the pics with us!! And let me tell you...WOW!!! What a fun place to be "locked" in!!!

So after cleaning I found a clock that I had put together, but never really finished it!! The frame was purchased at Michael's for $5.00 (with a coupon) and the clock hardware was about the same!! Super fun, really easy...and very inexpensive!!!

Then I came across TONS of extra pictures!! You know the ones that you planned on scrapping, but there wasn't enough room on the page...well I found a frame in the basement that wasn't being used!! And made this collage!! You can't really see it in the photo, but I took a white Sharpie and wrote little messages on some of the photos!! I LOVE how it turned out!! I think it's my favorite things in my room now!

And here are the rest of the photos of my super clean room!!!
I was rather thrify with some of my pieces of furniture too!! The brown shelf (underneath my white one) was round in one of my closets...unused!! And the white cabinet (under my clock) was hanging in my bathroom holding my towels before we remodeled it!! I covered my bulliten board with scrapbook paper and added some flowers for a super fun touch!! My pieces my not be your "normal" scrapbook furniture, but I'm really happy with it!!! :)

Age Is Just A Number...

I hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Can you believe January is almost among us...just two days left of 2008!!
Crazy!!

Tomorrow is a really special day... not only is it New Year's Eve, but it's my youngest son's birthday!! My baby will be turning 4!!!

Four years ago was really emotional for my husband and me!! Aidan was born 10 weeks early and only weighed 3.5 pounds. He couldn't breath or eat on his own and was given a 50/50 chance of survival. It was devasting!! I didn't get to see him until the next day and didn't get to hold him for a couple more days...for a mother that is so hard!! January 5th I was released from the hospital...without him!! It was the worst drive of my entire life...turning around to see an empty carseat!
My husband and I came everyday to the hospital to visit...it was really hard!! We never knew what to expect...one day he was doing really great, but the next was worse!! One step forward, several steps back!!
But he was a fighter!! After 5 weeks, he was finally able to breath and eat on his own and then was able to come home a week later!! It was Valentine's Day!! Such a joyous day!! So you can see why his birthday is even more special to us!!!

I had the pleasure of getting to work with the "Age Is Just A Number" kit for January at Paper Popsicles!!
I dedicated this kit to my son, so here are the creations I made....

My car that is!!
It's seems to be missing!! lol

OMG...we got 20inches of snow within the last 24 hours!!
They have shut down the city streets and are advising everyone stay inside!!
A lot of businesses are closed along with all the schools, garbage pick-up...and the list goes on and on from there!!
They said we are expected to see another 3-7inches today and then 3-7inches tonight!!
We are "officially" snowed in!!
But you know what that means.......LOTS of scrapping!!! lol
At least I can see that positive out of this!! ;)

Busy busy busy!!
I have been so busy!!
With all the orders I've been working on and getting Christmas presents ready!!
My sister flew in late last night to spend the weekend with us!! I'm SOOOOOO excited!! She hasn't been home for Christmas in two years!! The boys are so excited!! We are going to celebrate Christmas on Saturday!! So today the boys and I are going over my parents house to decorate the tree and bake some cookies!! I can't wait!! It will be like old time...when we were little!! Mom would make dozens and dozens of cookies....all different kinds!! Yummmmmm....and too this day the cookie dough is still my favorite!!! hehe

BLISS, FUN mini album

So as you can see I've been really busy creating for my store!!
I've had some really nice orders outside of Etsy, so that's been GREAT!!
I thought I would share my newest creation with you all!!

This mini scrapbook album measures 6.75X6 and includes 10 pages (using fabulous Basic Grey papers) and photomats for those "fun" pictures!!! It has LOTS of flowers and bright colors throughout the entire album!!

So after I was hiding some Christmas presents in my closet yesterday I came accross and entire stack of paper bags that I had TOTALLY forgotten I bought!!! So of course....I instantly was inspired and decided to create one for my shop!!

OMG...I am so sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER!!
My son was really sick and then I got sick and then Thanksgiving and then............

But I'm back and I promise I will update regularly!!!
Well, can you believe it's almost Christmas??
My sister is coming (from Vegas) next week...we all are super excited!! So this year we are going to celebrate Christmas next Saturday!! I can't wait to see her!! Here are a couple things I made for her!!

I decided to only use 4 of the 5 tags for this album...so with the leftover one this is what I made!! I glued a magnet to the back...you know, the ones that are on the front of the phonebooks!! ;)
