Be Inspired #33 Challenge

So, this weeks challenge over at Cuttlebug Challenges was to created something with a monogram. I must say, I haven't done one of these in a "really" long time!!
You can't really see that background all that great...I did use the amazing Swiss Dots embossing folder!! Absolutely LOVE it!!
The trim, not really sure what you want to call it, was actually from a Christmas bag I recieved. Thought it would be fun to put on a card...I'm sure you can find soemthing similar at your local craft store!!

Thanks for looking!!
Have a fabulous weekend!!

Popsicles & Bugs

lol...kind of an interesting combination!!
But in this case I'm refering to two challenges that I combined for this card!!

First, I must say...Paper Popsicles has a new card connoisseur!! So, head on over to their blog and see who it is!! She is going to start doing a card challenge every week...and you know how much I *heart* card challenges!!! Go check it out!!

So...for this card I used the sketch over on the Paper Popsicles Blog and the challenge over at Cuttlebug Challenges!! I don't have the butterfly die...yet, so I used this butterfly from Crate Paper and then embossed it!!

Thanks for looking!!
I'll be on vacation as of tomorrow so I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Tuesday!! Don't forget to check out my bow tutorial below!!

Bow Tutorial

Okay, so I've been asked by several of you how I tie my bows!! So here's how I do it...super super easy!!
Let's begin:

1. Start your first tie

2. Make two bunny ears

3. Criss-Cross them and tie (see, super easy)

4. This is what the bow looks like after it's tied...not very pretty!!

5. Now it's time to fix it all up...a little twisting here, maybe some there...don't forget to puff up the loops and voila!! A perfect bow!

Tips:
**I like to trim my end pieces pointed inward.
**If you can't get the bow to face the right direction, try tying it upside down!
**Try using wired ribbon!!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask!! I'll answer them in this post!!

A Little Note

Okay, first of all I want to to say...I had NO clue that ribbon spool had so much on it!! I promise...this is the last of the green ribbon you will see for awhile!! lol Just used it all up!! But I do have to admit, I absolutely LOVE the width!!

So, guess who had the Swiss Dots embossing folder in stock yesterday? I couldn't believe it...JoAnn's!! I must admit, I did order it online last week, but when I saw it in the store I could help but buy it!! lol...come on, I know you've done that before too!!

Okay, now for my card!! I used the sketch over at ICSketches!! Love the sketch this week Dawn!! So, here's what I came up with...bought these little roses at the LSS garage sale this weekend!! Totally love them!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
Hope you have a fabulous rest of the day!!

Buzz..Buzz...

So, this weekend was the LSS Garage Sale, and of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity!! I found some fabulous deals...one of them was a G Studio stamp set that had this adorable little bee in it!! I've made a couple cards already with this cutie!! One of them I used todays sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You!! I turned it around a little bit, but LOVE how it turned out!! It's a gatefold card!! The scallops is the opening (it opens up) and the script part folds down...hope that makes sense!! lol Guess I could have taken a picture of that!!
Anyways let me say, I'm absolutely LOVING my Cuttlebug...why didn't I get this fabulous little machine a long time ago??

Welcome, Baby card

So, last week while I was blog hopping (love to do that!!) I came across "another" FABULOUS challenge blog!! It's called Cupcake Craft Challenges!!

And of course, you know how much I LOVE a good card challenge so of course I had to play along this week!!

So, this week's challenge was a sketch (another one of my faves) so here's how my card turned out....

Look Who's...

OMG...I'm so darn excited!!
My fabulous husband decided to buy me an amazing gift yesterday!! Can you hear my excitement?? He bought me a CuttleBug!! EEek...I've been wanting one of these for quite sometime now!! And I must agree...it's an amazing tool that every cardmaker should have!!

So...now that I have one I can start participating in the challenges over at Cuttlebug Challenges!! This week you needed to make a 3D project...anything but a card!! So with my nieces 1st birthday coming up I decided to make a mini album for a couple little photos!! I absolutely love how it turned out!! It's just a small tri-fold!!

I Am...

So, another one of the challenges over at was to create a page "All about You". Surprisingly, I've been doing that a lot lately!! My reasoning...I want to make sure my children know things about me when I am gone. And I encourage each and everyone of you to do the same!! This challenge really opened up my eyes...we all focus on our kids in our pages...but what about us??

So, here is the layout that I scrapped...

Under Construction!!

Sorry my blog looks a little funky right now!!
It's time for a change (I love new) so I'll be changing things around a bit!!
If this is your first time visiting, I apologize for the mess...I hope you will come back and visit again!!

The Hole Punch 3000

So, I thought I would share some of my projects that I made for the contest over at
ScrapStreet! For this particular challenge we had to show a fun way to use a hole punch...the hole punch 3000 (lol...don't worry, you aren't missing out on anything...it doesn't exist)!

I knew exactly what I was going to do...a shaker box!!
And earlier that week I picked up some more fabulous papers from DCWV Woodland line!! Absolutely LOVE that line...it made from recycled paper!! Can't get better than that!!

So here's how it turned out!!

Funky Storage!!

So...these past couple weeks I've really begun to notice that I'm totally growing out of my craft room!! I've tried to get my hubby to let me "take over" the dining room...but it was a no-go!!! Bummer!! So I've been really trying to figure out how I can store all my things, but in a really fun way!! And look at what I found after browsing some rockin' blogs!!

Remember these??

They are milk crates...aka filing box, toy box, the uses are endless!! Well take a look at this fabulous tutorial that I found to dress them up,here!! The best thing about them...they are stackable!!!

So, this is what I did with mine!! Of course I HAD to have the bright funky colors!!! I absolutely LOVE them!! I will totally be making more as I get my craft room arranged the way I want it!!

And then I made this too....to store my ribbon!! No, that's not all my ribbon...lol it's what I bought the other day!! They were having a fabulous sale and I went a little overboard (I've already used 1/2 hehe)!!

I will take more pictures once I get my craft room all pretty!! Right now it looks like a tornado got locked inside!!! EEk!!
